Free Pilates Classes

Looking for a way to incorporate activity into your workday while improving your flexibility and posture? Look no further. The Human Resources Department is sponsoring free pilates classes throughout the spring 2019 semester! All faculty and staff are invited to attend the class for an hour of muscle relaxation and strengthening. Classes will run for eight weeks and begin on Wednesday, February 20. The classes will be led by Larry Tassini, laboratory manager in the Biology Department. There is no cost for this program.

If you have never attended a pilates class before, this is a great opportunity to learn, as the class will focus on practicing the fundamentals of pilates. Those with experience are more than welcome as well, as this will be an opportunity to deepen and refine practice. Equipment will be provided for the class but be sure to wear comfortable clothing. Together, the class will enjoy core strengthening and conditioning as well as improving flexibility and endurance.

All classes will held on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. ‒ 6:00 p.m. on the following dates:

Wednesday, February 20 and 27 – Regis Room

Wednesday, March 6, 13, 27 – Regis Room

Wednesday, April 3 – Regis Room

Wednesday, April 10 – Palisano Pavilion

Wednesday, April 17 – Regis Room

To ensure that there is enough equipment, please RSVP to Mary Braun at Ext. 2240 or braun5@canisius.edu. We hope to see you there!
