MLK Award Winners

Coral Snodgras, PhD, professor of management and Olivia Owens ’19, executive vice president, Undergraduate Student Association (USA), are the recipients of the college’s 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Award.

Martin Luther King Jr. Awards recognize Canisius community members, students and non-students who promote social justice, racial harmony, civil rights, advocacy for the poor or change through non-violence.

“We had so many great nominations of faculty, students and staff who are following in Dr. King’s footsteps,” said Gary Everett, retired chief of Canisius College Public Safety and chair, Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Committee. “It was an extremely difficult decision. Congratulations to our 2019 recipients.”

Honorees will be recognized during Spring Honors Convocation.

KAC Hours – February Break

The KAC will be adjusting the hours of operation during February break:

Friday, February 15: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 16: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, February 17: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Monday, February 18: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Tuesday, February 19: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Note: No open swim hours on Saturday, February 16 or Sunday, February 17. Open swim will run Monday, February 18 in the evening only.
