The College of Arts and Sciences dean search committee is pleased to announce the finalists scheduled for on-campus interviews. The final candidates are:
- Thomas Chambers, PhD, professor of history and faculty director of strategic enrollment management for graduate studies at Niagara University (Thursday, January 31 and Friday, February 1)

- Brian Walker, PhD, professor of biology at Fairfield University (Monday, February 4 and Tuesday, February 5)

- Peter Schaber, PhD, professor of chemistry and interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Canisius College (Thursday, February 7 and Friday, February 8)

- Lynne Texter, PhD, associate professor of communication and special assistant to the president for strategic initiatives at La Salle University (Monday, February 11 and Tuesday, February 12)

The campus community will have an opportunity to interact with each candidate at an open forum. Each session will be videotaped and available for those who cannot attend. Times and locations of each session will be posted in The Dome at least one week in advance. The campus community will have an opportunity to evaluate each candidate via a Qualtrics survey and have another opportunity to evaluate the candidates after interviews are complete. We encourage you to be as involved as possible in this process.
The first candidate forum is with Thomas Chambers, PhD, on Thursday, January 31 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in Grupp Fireside Lounge. All are welcome to attend.
Information about each finalist is posted on the myCanisius portal under the “Dean of Arts & Sciences Search” tab located on the blue navigation bar across the top of the page. Please take time to review their curricula vitae and application letters prior to attending the open forums.
Electronic surveys are also available for each candidate. As you interact with a candidate by attending an open forum or in any other scheduled meetings, please take the time to provide thoughtful feedback by filling out the appropriate survey. There will also be an opportunity to evaluate the candidates in a summary survey after interviews are complete.
