In one of the largest school-based clinical trials of its kind, Drs. Christopher Lopata and Marcus Thomeer found an innovative comprehensive school treatment (schoolMAX) yielded significant improvements for elementary-school children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Senior reporter for WBFO Radio Eileen Buckley interviewed Drs. Lopata and Thomeer, lead authors on the study, about their research and the positive outcomes of the schoolMAX program. Jonathan Rodgers, PhD, was a co-author on the study and James Donnelly, PhD, served as the statistician.
