Men’s Basketball Returns Home

After playing the last six of the first seven games on the road, the Canisius men’s basketball team returns to the KAC Wednesday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. The Griffs host Robert Morris University. Pepsi will be sponsoring a free giveaway of an Amazon Alexa.

Arduino Workshop at Buffalo Museum of Science

If you would like to start programming with Arduino or learn new tricks, join the Physics/Mathematics and Statistics Department on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Buffalo Museum of Science.

Bring your laptop to this all-skills workshop that will introduce participants to tinkering and coding for Arduino. Working from scratch, you’ll move from installation to implementation on a project creating colors with LEDs. Each participant will take home an Arduino to continue to develop his or her skills. Cantio Sacra Presents “A Global Christmas”

In the spirit of global unity, Cantio Sacra presents a free concert on Wednesday, December 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the library vestibule just outside the library’s inner doors. The group, under the direction of Melissa Thorburn, adjunct professor of fine arts/music, will present carols in French, German, Italian and Spanish in addition to works from Canada, England and the United States. Students, faculty, staff and visitors are cordially invited to attend all or part of the performance. This is an ideal event for foreign language classes or those with a global attribute.

Athletics Announces Holiday Ticket Sale

The Canisius Ticket Office is announcing its annual holiday ticket sale, featuring a “buy one, get one for $5” offer for upcoming home Canisius men’s basketball and hockey games. The 2018 holiday ticket sale runs through Friday, December 21.

Fans who purchase a general admission ticket for the Canisius versus University at Buffalo men’s basketball game on Saturday, December 29 at the KAC will have the opportunity to purchase a $5 general admission ticket to any other home men’s basketball contest for the remainder of the regular season (with the exception of the Niagara University home game on Wednesday, February 27).

Hockey fans who purchase a general admission ticket for the Canisius versus University of North Dakota hockey series on Friday, January 4 and Saturday, January 5 at HARBORCENTER will have the opportunity to purchase a $5 general admission ticket for any future regular season home contest, starting with the Griffs home game versus Mercyhurst University on Friday, January 11.

Fans may purchase as many $5 tickets that equal the number of full price seats they purchase for either the men’s basketball game versus University at Buffalo or the University of North Dakota hockey games. Therefore, a fan who buys four general admission tickets to the Saturday, December 29 men’s basketball game may purchase four additional tickets to any future game, with the exception of the Niagara University game.

All purchases must be made through the Canisius Ticket Office, located in the main lobby of the KAC. The ticket office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and 75 minutes prior to the start of home games in the KAC. This offer can also be purchased by phone by calling 716- 888-8499.

This offer is valid based on ticket availability. Previously purchased tickets are not available for the discount. For additional information, call (716) 888-8499.

Roman Arab/Spain Study Tour Road Trip

Students are invited to journey to Spain on Friday, March 15 – Sunday, March 24 and receive one credit.

There are only five seats available at this point. It is a 1-credit SPA course and students need to register for SPA 415 in order to participate. The cost of the trip is $1,350 and a $650 deposit is due Friday, December 7.
