Volleyball Battles Niagara on Saturday

The Canisius women’s volleyball team wraps up its regular season home schedule with a conference clash versus Niagara on Saturday, November 3. Game time for Senior Day begins at 1:00 p.m.

The Griffs are currently in second place in the MAAC with an 11-4 record, while Niagara is in sixth with a 9-6 record. Three teams occupy third with 9-5 records. The top two teams in the league (Iona is first at 13-1) receive a double bye into the semis of the conference tournament, which is being hosted by ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Every school plays 18 league games. Canisius will travel to Quinnipiac and Fairfield next weekend.

Tune Into “Crossroads”

If you’re up early this Sunday, November 4, tune into the monthly edition of “Crossroads.”

Program host Rev. Patrick J. Lynch, SJ, interviews Denise Rotondo, PhD, about “The Wehle School of Business and Jesuit Catholic Values.”  Topics to be discussed include AACSB (American Association of Colleges & Schools of Business) accreditation, its history at Canisius and it’s significance. Rotondo will also share some of the latest success stories from the Accounting Department, the Economics & Finance Department and the Women’s Business Center.

“Crossroads” is a monthly radio program produced by the Network of Religious Communities and hosted by Father Lynch, professor of religious studies and theology. It airs on the first Sunday of each month at 6:00 a.m. on MIX-96 (96.1 FM) and at 6:30 a.m. on JACK-FM (92.9).

Conversations in Christ Lecture Series

Adventure with Art and Animals in Amsterdam

Join the Art History Department for informational meetings about an Education First College Study Tour of Amsterdam during spring break 2019. The trip, co-led by Sue Margulis, PhD, chair and professor of ABEC and biology, and Yvonne Widenor, professor and director of art history, will explore zoos and museums during a five-day trip.
