Celebrity Chef Jet Tila’s visit to Canisius HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED and will now take place on Thursday, September 6, when the Food Network star brings his Asian cuisine to the Economou Dining Hall. Chef Jet will make a lunch (11:00 – 1:30 p.m.) and dinner (5:00 – 7:00 p.m.) appearance at Canisius, preparing some of his signature culinary items for students, faculty and staff who show a Canisius ID.

As a boy, Chef Jet spent time learning the ancient traditions of classical Asian cuisine in his family’s restaurants and at the Bangkok Market, America’s first Thai grocery store and importer in Hollywood.

Chef Jet’s Le Cordon Bleu education coupled with his extensive knowledge of Asian gastronomy lend themselves to a wide range of ideas, which he draws upon to create incomparable and innovative cuisine.

Chef Jet is a judge on the Food Network show “Chopped.” He also appears regularly on “Cut Throat Kitchen.”
