Informally-Formal Recital, sculptor lecture, student events

The last week of April is a busy one for ArtsCanisius with four performances and an art lecture scheduled!

Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 pm. is the final Informally-Formal Chamber Recital in the Montante Cultural Center. The performance features BPO Double Bassist Jonathan Borden, Susan Schuman, piano and Edmond Gnekow, also a member of the BPO bass section.  Tickets for this concert are $15 general admission and $7 for students. As always, this concert includes light fare and a casual atmosphere.

On Thursday, April 26, sculptor Daniel Sinclair gives a lecture at noon in the Regis Room.

From Friday, April 27 through Sunday, April 29, we highlight our student performing ensembles at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.  Friday features the Jazz Ensemble, directed by Russell Scarbrough, and the final performance of the academic year for the Canisius College Concert Band under the direction of Paul Biddle.  The Chorale performs on Saturday evening, April 28, directed by Bradley Wingert, closing out his first year as the new ensemble director.  Sunday, April 29 features the Chamber Orchestra in their year-end performance conducted by Ansgarius Aylward.  All of these events are free and open to the public.  We hope to see you there!

The New D2L Coming in May

New features based on feedback

Staff in the Center for Online Learning & Innovation (COLI) are hard at work crafting a new set of D2L tutorial videos.  This is in part because D2L is getting a new interface in mid-May, in between the spring and summer semesters, but also because D2L has gradually added new, minor features over the past several years. The new videos are crafted based on feedback we’ve received from faculty.

Right now COLI has more than a dozen new videos and more on the way.  Periodically check back on our wiki page to see these as they appear.
