Dierenfield, PhD, professor of history ‒ Faculty Scholarship Award; Tanya M. Loughead, PhD, professor of philosophy ‒ Faculty Service Award; Johanna M. Fisher, adjunct professor of English and German (accepted by Sr. Pat Brady, director, Center for Service Learning) ‒ Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award and Peter Boehm, PhD, professor emeritus of German (posthumously) (accepted by Kevin Heffernan ᾿08 and Zhasmina Tacheva ᾿14) ‒ Faculty Teaching Award.

Mission Examen Forum is Today

The faculty/staff Mission Examen forum is today, Wednesday, April 11 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Regis Rooms.  Please join your colleagues in structured conversations around three general questions related to the Catholic, Jesuit mission of the college. The questions are:  What does the mission mean to you? How have you experienced the mission? What is missing or what could we do better?  The feedback from this forum will be utilized in the Jesuit Mission Examen self-study the college is currently conducting. Dessert will be served.

President’s Town Hall

CrescenDON’Ts Perform with BPO

The CrescenDON’Ts, Canisius’ student a cappella group, performs with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) on Saturday, April 14 at 8 p.m. in Kleinhans Music Hall. The group will sing If I Ever Fall in Love by Shai with the Buffalo Gay Men’s Choir and Broadway vocalists Michele Ragusa and George Brown. The group’s appearance with the BPO is part of Buffalo Sings, the BPO’s celebration of everyone’s favorite songs.

The CrescenDON’Ts spring concert is Sunday, April 15 at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Marie Maday Theatre. The performances are free and open to the public.

Ignatian Scholarship Day

The 11th annual Ignatian Scholarship Day takes place on Wednesday, April 18 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  This event highlights the achievements of more than 130 undergraduate and graduate students in various forms of expression.
