Baseball Battles Cornell on April 3

Take in a doubleheader over Easter break

Looking to spend a relaxing afternoon at the ballpark during Easter Break? Then check out the Griffs doubleheader against Cornell, Tuesday afternoon, April 3 at the Demske Sports Complex. First pitch for game one is at 1:00 p.m., with an expected start time for game two at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Canisius is off to a 13-7 start with wins over Ohio State, NC State and West Virginia, while The Big Red is 2-9 with games at Penn State and Princeton before travelling to Buffalo.

Naples Conversations Series welcomes O’Brien Steinfels

The Joseph J. Naples Conversations in Christ and Culture is proud to present a lecture by Margaret O’Brien Steinfels on Tuesday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Grupp Fireside Lounge. O’Brien Steinfels is a writer and editor who edited a number of magazines and journals including Commonweal and Church, Christianity & Crisis. She retired as co-director of the Fordham Center on Religion and Culture in 2012 and currently writes a column for Commonweal. The event is free and open to the public.

President Hurley featured in St. Michael’s Speakers Series

Education is the Key to Success

President John Hurley is among the featured speakers in The Downtown Jesuits Speakers Series at St. Michael Church, 651 Washington Street in Buffalo on Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m. President Hurley will give a talk entitled “The Promise & Challenge of Higher Education in Buffalo-Niagara.” The event, which takes place in the church, is free and open to the public.
