Inspired by the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, last month that killed 17 people, a contingent of Canisius students traveled to Washington, D.C. for the March for Life. They joined thousands of people across the United States and around the world who marched in support of gun control on Saturday. The group was led by Darby Ratliff, graduate assistant, Campus Ministry.

This spring, ITS integrated Turnitin into D2L. Turnitin software includes an originality checker that can help students avoid plagiarism. Turnitin also provides tools so faculty can provide detailed feedback to students about their writing. You can easily employ Turnitin within your D2L dropboxes. Both you and your students can access Turnitin features and feedback through D2L, rather than having to login at Turnitin’s separate site. Within the D2L dropbox editor, you will see the Turnitin toolset on a new tab. Even if you prefer to read and grade paper copies, you can still instruct students to upload papers to Turnitin via D2L.

Team Hosts Regional Rival
Your Golden Griffins men’s lacrosse team will host regional rival Hobart Tuesday evening, March 27 at the Demske Sports Complex. Game time is set for 7 p.m. with the game carried on ESPN3. It’s also Tim Horton’s Night with fans receiving free coffee, hot chocolate and Timbits.
Your Griffs were 3-3 heading into Saturday’s conference opener at Siena, while the Statesmen were 3-4, including a win versus Colgate, before they played St. Joe’s on Saturday.
