Jenel Stevens ᾿04 went from hoops to Hollywood. The former Canisius basketball star is now a stunt person for “Black Panther,” a film that is shattering box office records – and stereotypes. In an article in The Buffalo News, Stevens discusses how a career in personal training and martial arts eventually led to her considering stunt roles.  But she never expected to be part of such a groundbreaking movie.

Kevin Hardwick, PhD, associate professor of political science, expressed his disapproval of the “golden parachute” the Erie County Water Authority recently gave its executive director in an article in The Buffalo News. Erie County legislators have little authority over the deal Earn Jann signed, which guarantees him full salary through 2020 unless fired with cause.
