Please note that Mass will be held at 5 p.m. in Christ the King Chapel on Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, instead of 7 p.m. The regular 7 p.m. time resumes next Sunday, February 11.

Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper Luncheon

Jill Spisiak Jedlikca to speak

The All-College Honors Program hosts a free luncheon with Jill Spisiak Jedlicka, executive director, Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, on Wednesday, February 7 at 12 p.m. in Student Center Room 205. She was featured in The Buffalo News for her work in restoring the Buffalo River, New York State’s fifth most unhealthy and stressed waterway. Canisius to Offer Seminar on Heroin Addiction and Recovery

The Canisius Golden Griffin Counseling Seminar presents “Four Components of Heroin Addiction and Recovery” on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to

1 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge.  Light breakfast is included.

The seminar is presented by Davina Moss-King, PhD.  Moss-King is the president and owner of Positive Direction and Associates Inc. She has more than has 25 years of experience counseling individuals with substance abuse or use disorders.

This Golden Griffin Counseling Seminar is sponsored by the Department of Counseling and Human Services at Canisius College. Canisius Dance Griffs to Host Clinic Feb. 25

Children of faculty and staff are invited to attend

The Canisius Dance Griffs will hold an instructional winter clinic on Sunday, February 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Koessler Athletic Center in conjunction with the Canisius men’s basketball home game.

All participants in the clinic will learn a routine from the Dance Griffs and then perform at halftime. The clinic is open to children ages 5-14. The dance clinic features instruction by former Toronto Raptors dancer Morgan and several Bandettes, who dance for the NLL’s Buffalo Bandits.

The cost is $30 for the clinic, which includes a T-shirt, lunch and a ticket for the Canisius men’s basketball game. The February 25 date features a home game against Marist. It is also Senior Day. Game time for the contest is set for 2 p.m.
