Educational Forum features new research by Ann Marie Lenhardt, PhD

The Educational Forum, a peer-reviewed journal, recently published new research by Ann Marie Lenhardt, PhD.  The professor of counseling and human services co-authored “A Framework for School Safety and Risk Management,” alongside Lemuel W. Graham MS ’02 and Melissa L. Farrell MS ’03, alumni of the program.

According to the authors, while awareness of targeted school violence is on the rise, school-based mental health services and resources – with a framework for threat assessment and prevention – are still largely absent.  The research focuses on 18 premeditated cases of targeted secondary school shooters between 1996 and 2012.
