The Three Kings and Epiphany

January broadcast of “Crossroads” features carols and commentary

Dial in to “Crossroads” this Sunday, January 7 when program host Rev. Patrick J. Lynch, SJ, sits down with Mary Lou T. Wyrobek, adjunct professor of religious studies and theology, to discuss the Biblical story of the Three Kings and their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.  Wyrobek also shares insight on the tradition of the celebration of the Epiphany in the Polish community.  The conversation is complemented by various musical performances by Wyrobek, which include “Lo, the Monarchs of the East,” the first and final verses of “We Three Kings” and “Lullaby Jesus Child.”

In addition to her work at Canisius, Wyrobek teaches religion at Our Lady of Black Rock and is a music minister at Assumption Church.

“Crossroads” is a monthly radio program produced by the Network of Religious Communities.  It airs on the first Sunday of each month at 6:00 a.m. on MIX-96 (96.1 FM) and at 6:30 a.m. on JACK-FM (92.9).

The broadcast is also available on the Canisius SoundCloud.
