Students in the physical and health education teacher/education (PHETE) program collaborated with the physical education (PE) program at Buffalo Public School 17 on Tuesday, November 28. The theme of the event was “planning for the unexpected.” PHETE majors were given little notice to teach four consecutive PE lessons to K-2 children. The students of School 17 were enthusiastic and the exercise proved to be a great learning experience for PHETE majors. Special thanks to PE teachers Tricia Vezina and Phil Smith ’13 for coordinating this event.
