Students from the Physical and Health Education/Teacher Education (PHETE) program attended the 80th annual New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD) conference from Thursday, November 16 to Saturday, November 18 in Verona, NY.

PHETE major Annie Draves ’18 was honored as a Jay B. Nash Award nominee during the Amazing Persons Ceremony. The award is given to one male and one female undergraduate student for outstanding performance relevant to his or her preparation for the profession in the areas of health, physical education, recreation or dance. Draves is pictured with Clancy Seymour, EdD, assistant professor of kinesiology and director of Physical & Health Education/Teacher Education.
