During the men’s basketball home opener for the Canisius Golden Griffins vs. Youngstown State on Saturday, November 18, Reese recorded the first triple-double in the program’s 114-year history. He went for 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in the win. Reese also recorded three steals for an all-round strong performance.
The home fans were treated to quite the performance from Canisius. Not only did the team put up 104 points in a 20-point win over the Penguins, they saw one of the best performances in Canisius basketball history.
Reese received a commanding 86 percent of the fan vote in College Court’s weekly Twitter poll. He beat out Tre’Shaun Fletcher (Toledo), Chima Moneke (UC Davis), and Jahad Thomas (UMass-Lowell) for the weekly honor.
