Faculty and Staff Stress Less Day Today

Enjoy a variety of activities

Don’t forget that the Faculty and Staff Stress Less Day is today, Wednesday, November 15 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m in the Regis Room!  Please note: The Campus Candid that ran in Friday’s Dome was from the Students’ Stress Less Day and NOT from the Faculty and Staff Stress Less Day. We apologize for any confusion.

Everyone is welcome to join us and take some time out of their day for a series of activities that promote relaxation. Activities will include a Make Your Own Stress Ball station, a massage therapist ($1 per minute; 10 minutes maximum), Legos, Play-doh, coloring and more! Water and tea will also be provided.

Please feel free to stop by at any time and stay for as long as you are able! If you have any questions, contact the Human Resources office at Ext. 2240.

Leveraging On-the-Job Opportunities to Grow Your Employees

Attend an EAP workshop for supervisors

The Employee Assistance Program presents a seminar for supervisors regarding employee growth and development on Thursday, November 16 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge.

One of the key reasons employees leave organizations is a lack of opportunity to grow and develop. Managers who understand how to empower their employees to take on new challenges not only build organizational capability but ensure their employees remain engaged and motivated to contribute. In this session, you’ll learn how to listen in a way that identifies opportunities to encourage employee growth and tips for overcoming barriers to employee development.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Mary Braun at Ext. 2240 or at braun5@canisius.edu.
