Today, Friday, November 10, please join the Griff Center for Academic Engagement as it hosts a variety of events to remember and honor those who have proudly served in our nation’s armed forces.
From 9:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m., outside of Old Main 013, the Griff Center will host a giveaway for veterans. All veterans on campus are eligible to receive FREE exciting giveaways, as well as an opportunity to win Sabres tickets for the November 20 game vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Griff Center will also host “Rock It for Veterans.” Please stop by Old Main 013 and write a message of patriotism, hope and thanks to our veterans on a rock. These rocks will be placed around the garden of the VA Hospital. All members of the college community are invited to participate.
The Veteran’s Day observance with a wreath laying will take place at the Greatest Generation Memorial in front of Old Main/ next to Bagen Hall at 11:45 a.m. The rain location will be in the Veteran’s Lounge, Old Main 320. All are welcome to join the Griff Center for refreshments and desserts after the ceremony.
