In case you were not able to view photos of the Mass of the Holy Spirit, here they are again. We apologize for any inconvenience.
More than 400 members of the Canisius community filled the Montante Cultural Center for the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Wednesday, September 13. Following Mass, participants enjoyed brunch in the Student Center.
It is a long-standing tradition at Catholic and Jesuit schools to invite the Holy Spirit into our midst as the school year begins. Rev. Richard Malone, Bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo, presided at the Mass. Members of the Canisius Jesuit community concelebrated.
See more photos from the Mass of the Holy Spirit here.

Women’s Soccer Meets Marist
Team plays MAAC home opener
On Wednesday afternoon, September 20, Canisius will host its first conference game when Marist pays a visit to the Demske Sports Complex. Game time is 4 p.m. All fans are encouraged to wear gray as part of Athletes for Athletes day. For this observance, all of our Canisius student-athletes (400 of them) will attend the game and wear their new gray sweatsuits (“groutfits”). Canisius has Athletes for Athletes day once a year for a different sport.
It’s conference season for the women’s soccer team. After a successful non-conference slate that saw your Griffs compile a 5-2 mark that included wins over UB and St. Bonaventure, the team opened MAAC play over the weekend at Iona.
