Wendy Miller Backman, the executive director of the United Church Home Society and Senior Wishes, will be the featured guest on “Crossroads” this Sunday, June 4.  Program host Rev. Jonathan D. Lawrence, PhD, speaks with Backman about the issues and challenges facing senior citizens today.  Backman will also share success stories from Senior Wishes, a project that helps low income senior citizens fulfill wishes.

“Crossroads” is a monthly radio program produced by the Network of Religious Communities.  It airs on the first Sunday of each month at 6:00 a.m. on MIX-96 (96.1 FM) and at 6:30 a.m. on JACK-FM (92.9).

In case you miss Sunday’s broadcast, the June program will be available on the Canisius SoundCloud beginning Monday, June 5.

Jonathan Lawrence is filling in as program host while Rev. Patrick Lynch, SJ, is on sabbatical. Lawrence is associate professor of religious studies and theology at Canisius and director of the Religion in Western New York Project.
