Sew REDI Buffalo, an initiative of Canisius Enactus, has been recognized with the 2017 Phi Delta Kappa Buffalo-Niagara Chapter 0047 President’s Service Organization of Excellence Award.  Sew REDI Buffalo received its award at the Past President’s Banquet and Awards Ceremony held on April 28.

Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) is a professional association for educators. PDK’s mission is to be the experts in cultivating great educators for tomorrow while continuing to ensure high-quality education for today.

Sew REDI Buffalo educates and economically empowers members of Buffalo’s refugee community through sewing. Canisius Enactus, a volunteer student organization dedicated to using the power of entrepreneurial action to create a better world for all of us, is advised by Patricia A. Hutton, PhD, professor of economics.  The team’s work with refugees is supported by many community volunteers.
