Alumni Named to 30 Under 30 List

Congratulations to five Canisius College alums who were named to Buffalo Business First’s ‘30 Under 30’ list. They are:

The ‘30 Under 30’ list honors Western New Yorkers in the early stages of their careers who are achieving at high levels at work and in the community. This year’s winners will be honored at an awards ceremony on June 21 at The Tralf in downtown Buffalo.

Women’s Business Center on WUFO Radio

Sara Vescio, executive director of the Women’s Business Center (WBC), will be interviewed on WUFO 1080 by Glenn Jackson and Herbert Courtney of M&T Bank today, April 25 at 1:30 p.m. Vescio will discuss the importance of the WBC in the Western New York community and what it offers. Please tune in this afternoon to listen to the half hour segment.

Penguins In Buffalo?

Your Canisius Golden Griffin baseball team continues its four game homestand today, April 25, when the Penguins from Youngstown State make a visit to the Demske Sports Complex. First pitch for the single game is slated for 3:00 p.m.

Canisius is coming off a three-game sweep of league foe Rider that has vaulted the Blue and Gold into a three-way tie for second place. The Griffs have won seven of their past nine and are 23-15 this season, while Youngstown is 11-27.

The Center for Online Learning & Innovation (COLI) and ITS User Services are investigating current Geographic Information Systems (GIS) use on campus and the potential for further supporting this increasingly important toolset.
