The kittens on campus have attracted the local news. WKBW-TV Channel 7 spoke with Miranda Workman, clinical instructor of Animal Behavior, Ecology and Conservation (ABEC) about the partnership the college has with the Erie County SPCA to help prepare the kittens for adoption. The students teach the kittens activities such as getting inside a carrier, running through a tunnel and playing fetch.
These activities “make them attractive adoption candidates and encourages positive relationships with humans that will help the kittens transition to their new families,” Workman said.
