Bob Butler, PhD, professor of English, authors an article in the “My View” section of The Buffalo News entitled “Privatizing our lives erodes communities.” Butler discusses how the privatization of our lives “has produced a troubling erosion of community,” as many of the things people used to do together are now done alone.

Easter Weekend is Wireless Downtime

The campus wireless network will be down for maintenance on Saturday, April 15 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This will affect all WiFi SSIDs – gryphon, CanisiusWireless and CanisiusGuest.

Wired networking, including the connection to the internet, will not be affected.

Big Lacrosse Doubleheader Scheduled for Saturday

Both your men’s and women’s lacrosse teams will be home Saturday, April 15 as they host conference opponents at the Demske Sports Complex. The women will start things off as they battle Quinnipiac at 12:00 p.m., while the men meet Siena at 3:00 p.m.

The Golden Griffin women were 4-0 in league play prior to a Wednesday afternoon game at Marist.

The men are currently tied with Monmouth atop the MAAC standings with a 3-0 league record.
