“My position enables me to provide the missing links of support that help high school students from low income, first-generation backgrounds realize that with hard work and determination, anything is possible, and to be the best of their generation.”
Elizabeth Caffee joined the COPE office in November 2006 as coordinator of the federally-funded Talent Search Program. Talent Search has been an ideal assignment for Liz due to her genuine and unwavering love and commitment to young people. Her tough love and gentle and fair spirit make her a favorite with those she works with. In addition to her work with young people, Liz has a couple of other skills that have helped to build the Talent Search Program into what it is today. She is a skilled fundraiser and a builder of partnerships. She has built partnerships with school, civic, church, community and business leaders, which have netted more than $50,000 in cash and in-kind donations to Talent Search. These donations have been used to enrich the lives of many students in the Buffalo Public Schools.
Did you know…Liz is an active member of Zion Dominion Global Ministries and serves as its director of external affairs. Liz also serves on the Board of Directors for the SENSES Foundation, the Jim Horn Golf Foundation for Young Adults and is a member of The Links Incorporated, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and the Harriett Tubman 300’s.
