The National Teachers Hall of Fame now has Western New York connections with the induction of Ashli Dreher ’95. Dreher is the first teacher from the Buffalo Niagara region to be inducted.

A special-education teacher at Lewiston-Porter School District, Dreher will be honored at an April 28 gala at the National Education Association headquarters in Washington and formally inducted June 23 at Emporia State University in Kansas where the Hall of Fame is located.

“I just love it. I can’t imagine doing anything else,” said Dreher. “I’m certified as a school district administrator, but I can’t see myself leaving the classroom.”
