Stand in Solidarity Week, taking place this week, is a collaboration between USA Justice, USA Diversity, Campus Ministry, Women and Gender Studies Club and Peace Action Canisius. Each day this week there will be programming that asks the campus community to engage with issues impacting marginalized communities ranging from migration to racial equity to access that girls have to education.  Check out the poster for details and consider joining in one or more of the discussions!

Tonight, March 27, two labor activists discuss the relations between the United States, Mexico and Canada from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in Science Hall Room 1013.

On Tuesday, March 28, there will be a viewing of Girl Rising, a documentary highlighting stories of girls from around the world at 5:00 p.m. in Regis.

Enlight-Night will be held on Wednesday, March 29, at 7:00 p.m. in the Science Hall Commons. The event focuses on migration and the struggles faced by migrants, refugees, immigrants and asylum seekers.

Find out where Canisius and other Jesuit universities stand on racial equity on Thursday, March 30 at 2:30 p.m. in Regis. Later that evening at 7:00 p.m., there will be a “Mock Wall” decoration event at 7:00 p.m. in the Quad. The wall will be decorated with messages of hope.

Friday, March 31, a gathering in the Quad allows for the campus community to reflect on the events of the week at 11:00 a.m. Visit the library to create your own sentiment to attach to the wall.
