On Tuesday, March 7 at 5:00 p.m. in the Palisano Commons, Melody LeBeau, co-founder and program director of “I Am Syria,” will discuss the lingering refugee crisis that affects hundreds of thousands of people today.

Students Andrew Beiter ’17 and Alie Iwanenko ’17 will also present. Beiter’s discussion, “Human Rights Defenders,” captures the burden of many Buffalo citizens that still lack some human rights. Iwanenko’s presentation is a thesis focusing on Latin American immigration to the U.S.

The event is co-sponsored by Peace Action Canisius, the International Relations Department and the Model United Nations Diplomacy Organization (MUNDO).
