In celebration of Women’s History Month, Colia L. Clark, a human rights activist, will speak on Monday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge. Clark presents “Selma & Beyond: Civil and Human Rights in the Contemporary Moment.”
Colia L. Clark spent a lifetime working for human rights, civil rights, women’s rights, worker’s rights and rights for the homeless and youth. A National Voter Rights Hall of Fame inductee, Clark served as field secretary for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and played a key role in establishing equal voting rights in Selma, AL. Clark serves as the USA coordinator for the International Commission of Inquiry on Haiti and is Coordinator for the Guadeloupe-Haiti Tour USA.
