women’s basketball team will host its annual Play4Kay contest on Thursday, February 16 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Koessler Athletic Center. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to match the Canisius uniforms. Your Griffs host St. Peter’s with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in their second to last home game of the season. Pink New Era knit caps and ball caps will be distributed to the first 200 ticketed fans.
ThePlay4Kay Cancer Fund, named after former North Carolina State women’s basketball coach Kay Yow, partners annually with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation. It is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to the fight against women’s cancers through raising money for scientific research and related projects, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.
