The role and ministry of Roman Catholic Deacons will be the topic of discussion on “Crossroads” this Sunday, February 5. Program host Rev. Jonathan D. Lawrence, PhD, interviews Michael Hayes Jr. and Deacon Gary P. Andelora.
Michael Hayes Jr. is director of Campus Ministry at Canisius College and currently engaged in a year of inquiry, which begins the process towards becoming a deacon. Deacon Gary P. Andelora is a marriage coordinator for the Canisius College Office of Campus Ministry. He became a Deacon in 2008.
“Crossroads” is a monthly radio program produced by the Network of Religious Communities. It airs on the first Sunday of each month at 6:00 a.m. on MIX-96 (96.1 FM) and at 6:30 a.m. on JACK-FM (92.9).

Jonathan Lawrence is filling in as program host, while Rev. Patrick Lynch is on sabbatical. He is associate professor of religious studies and theology at Canisius and director of the Religion in Western New York Project.
