The Fine Arts Department welcomes all to attend the three student ensemble concerts this weekend in the Montante Cultural Center, which will feature hundreds of students studying a variety of disciplines on campus. All three concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., and are free and open to the public

On Friday, December 2, the Canisius College Concert Band, directed by Paul D. Biddle, and the Canisius College Jazz Ensemble, with its new director, Russell Scarbrough, will perform.

Saturday, December 3 features the Canisius College Chorale directed by Frank Scinta.  The concert will include works of Vivaldi, Faure, Ticheli, Whitacre, Dawson and others. Now in its 20th season, the Canisius College Chorale remains one of Western New York’s most active collegiate music ensembles. Composed of 100 undergraduate and graduate members, the Chorale regularly presents concert programs to school, church, and community audiences throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario. In recent years, the Chorale has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ars Nova Chamber Musicians, Amherst Symphony Orchestra, Camerata di Sant’Antonio, Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus, Vocalis Chamber Choir, Choirs or Blessed Sacrament Church and St. Louis Church  and the Dave Brubeck Quartet.

On Sunday, December 4, the Canisius College Chamber Orchestra, led by Ansgarius Aylward, will perform.
