Workshop on Confluence – the Canisius Wiki

Workshops
On Tuesday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m., the Center for Online Learning and Innovation (COLI) is conducting a Confluence Kickstarter workshop, introducing the Canisius College Wiki.

A wiki is a web space or set of pages that allows many participants to collaboratively create, edit and display a variety of information, images, video and links. Many Canisius wiki spaces and pages may be available on the web to the entire world but other spaces and pages may be viewable only by certain individuals, such as members of project teams, committees, departments or offices.  Create your own wiki space to organize and present your office or department’s content to the campus community.  Or, use a wiki space to house information useful and exclusively available to members of your committee.

Breakfast with Santa

All Canisius College faculty and staff members are invited to attend the ninth annual Breakfast with Santa with their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The event will be on Saturday, December 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Student Center Dining Hall.

Santa will be making his annual appearance at Canisius to visit with our children and give them each a special gift. In addition to a breakfast, there will be arts and crafts and a family photo with Santa.

Each faculty/staff member is responsible for bringing a gift for each child (maximum $15) which will be given to their child at the event by Santa.

Registration is required as space is limited. The cost for breakfast will be $15 per adult and for children age 11 or older; children 10 and under are FREE.  For a registration form, click here.

Please drop off the registration form, gift(s) wrapped and labeled with your child’s full name on the package and payment prior to the event, to Connie Pileri in the Office of Event Services (Student Center, lower level – 003), by Monday, December 12.

Additionally, we are in need of volunteers to assist on that day with working shifts at the event and cleaning up at its completion. Also, if you are able to make a gift donation for the door prize table, it would be greatly appreciated.

Merry Christmas!
