From Thursday, October 13 – Friday, October 14, students from the Physical and Health Education Teacher Education (PHETE) Program in the Department of Kinesiology escorted fourth graders from Buffalo Public School (BPS) 54—Dr. George E. Blackman School of Excellence to Cradle Beach in Angola, NY.
PHETE majors coordinated activities, served meals and camped overnight with the children and staff. Special thanks to Mark Warner ’84, adjunct professor of physical education, and our partners at School 54, Karin Seymour ’98, MS ’08, physical education instructor and Greg Johnson, assistant principal, for the valuable experiences for our teacher candidates.
