Bump It, Set It, Smack It!

It’s an air affair this Columbus Day when Canisius volleyball staff and team hosts a clinic for boys and girls, ages 12-18.

The event takes place Monday, October 10 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Koessler Athletic Center.  The fee for the clinic is only $20 per participant. To register contact Head Coach Lenika Vazquez at 888-8458 or email: Vazquez5@canisius.edu.

Tuesday, October 11th: Canisius Create Day!

Canisius Create Day 2016!On Tuesday, October 11, the Center for Online Learning & Innovation will host #CanisiusCreateDay, a day set aside for learning something new.

This event will take place on the fourth floor of Old Main, with sessions dedicated to new opportunities in three areas: technology in teaching and learning, online learning, and innovation.  You’ll come away with inspiration and new skills to begin creating something useful for your work or life.

Session topics include:

  • Blogging and Newsletters for your Course, Program, or Office
  • Gaming in Education
  • Twitter and Facebook for Programs and Offices
  • Your Administrative Workflow
  • Leveraging Google Apps in Your Courses

The day is open to everyone on campus (faculty, staff and students).  So come learn something new!

Canisius Brings Fulbright Conference to Campus

Canisius College will host the fall 2016 conference of the Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the U.S. Fulbright Association on Friday, October 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Science Hall.

The conference, entitled “Fulbright and Social Activism in the 21st Century,” is open to students, faculty and professionals, as well as visiting Fulbright scholars and alumni, who are interested in applying for a Fulbright Scholarship to study abroad for the 2017-2018 academic year.
