nf-woodside-spotlightSarah Woodside, PhD, is a new faculty member in the Department of Management. Her research focuses on how organizations and entrepreneurs manage tensions that arise between generating revenue and pursuing social mission goals.

This semester, Woodside is teaching managerial environment, a course in which students examine the interplay between business and society, and explore corporate responsibility vis-à-vis pressing social and environmental issues. She also teaches a graduate course on negotiations, which focuses on integrative negotiation and value creation.

Before joining Canisius, Woodside was a lecturer in negotiations at Babson College and worked at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.

Woodside received her PhD from Boston College and her MA from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, she looks forward to exploring Buffalo, its restaurants, cultural offerings and social enterprises.
