Desire2Learn Unavailable Today

d2l_logo18Today, Desire2Learn will be unavailable to Canisius College users between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Desire2Learn’s engineers have taken it offline to complete the scheduled upgrade.

The upgraded D2L will be quite similar to our current D2L visually but some changes aimed at making D2L more intuitive and easier to use will be noticeable.  For example, features are better described to faculty, within the Quizzes tool.

If the upgrade proceeds as planned, Desire2Learn should become available after 8:00 p.m. this evening.  Thank you for your patience.

TIAA Representative on Campus

Greg Tedone, financial consultant for TIAA, will be back on campus Wednesday, June 8, Wednesday, July 13 and Wednesday, August 10 in the Library Conference Room for individual counseling sessions. He will meet with individuals to review and discuss current investments, answer questions and review their options to help meet retirement goals.

Porter Farms Community Supported Agriculture Comes to Canisius

Due to the interest and number of shares purchased, Porter Farms is bringing their worksite program to Canisius this year!  Deliveries will begin around the third week in June.  There is still time to join the program before the first delivery.

Tim Hortons Renovations

The Tim Hortons on campus will be closing Sunday, May 22 for renovations that will take place over the summer. A temporary Tim Horton’s will be located in Old Main in the 2mato location starting Monday, May 23.

Tim Hortons will be open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Subway in Old Main will also be open in the summer Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
