Communicate With Students via Video

gfacultystaffbuttonDuring the next semester or summer session, why not try a new way to interact with your classes?  Record quick screencast videos wherein students hear your voice as you explain, demonstrate, or review something you have on a computer screen.  With Snagit, a browser add-on for Google’s Chrome browser, you can create screencast videos that take no more time to create than typing text.  Share the videos via YouTube or Google Drive, and they can be quickly linked or embedded nicely in Desire2Learn.

Here’s a tutorial for faculty, demonstrating how to use Snagit for Google Chrome.

If you don’t have one, contact Mark Gallimore at gallimom@canisius.edu to get a Google Apps for Education (Faculty Edition) account, which gives you YouTube and Google Drive spaces with special options for sharing with Canisius students.
