Canisius is hosting the women’s lacrosse MAAC championships this weekend and the video production of the games, which will be broadcast by ESPN3, will be handled by students in JRN 358 and JRN 359, the sports field broadcast courses.
Visitors are welcome to stop by the Golden Griffin Sports Broadcast Center to watch the broadcasts live and see the production process. The control room in Science Hall will be open to visitors during the tournament games. The semifinal games are this Friday, May 6, at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The championship game will be held on Sunday, May 8, at noon.
JRN 358 and JRN 359 are taught by Sam Hallett, digital media director for the Athletic Department.
