The Canisius softball team will host a pair of conference doubleheaders this weekend with MAAC foes Monmouth and Rider paying visits to the Demske Sports Complex. Both twin bills start at noon with Monmouth in town on Saturday, April 30 and Rider on Sunday, May 1.
The Griffs currently sit in fourth place in conference action with a 7-5 league mark. Monmouth is second at 11-3, while Rider is 10th at 3-10. This weekend marks the final home games for the Griffs with the team’s seniors being honored on Sunday. There is a home run derby scheduled on Saturday after game two.
