UP-STAT conference flyer 8.5x11-page-001Canisius College will host the Upstate Chapters of the American Statistical Association (UP-STAT) conference next week on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23. Attendees and presenters from upstate colleges and universities and from Canada will be at the event.  Friday’s schedule features five tutorials (listed below) the Father Haus Memorial Lecture and a panel discussion entitled “The Multiple Facets of Data Science.”

Richard De Veaux, PhD, a prominent data scientist and educator, will present the Father Haus Lecture, entitled “Modeling the Effect of Age in Human Performance.”

Please consider attending the tutorials and other conference events.  Learn what is happening in the broad area of “big data.”
