Support the college’s Institute for Autism Research (IAR) by downloading the single “Not So Different,” on iTunes and Google Play beginning Friday, April 15.
The single is the newly-recorded version of singer-songwriter Cassandra Kubinski’s song featuring John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls, Mary Ramsey from 10,000 Maniacs and Kubinski.
The song will also be available for purchase on CD on April 16 at 11:00 a.m. during Record Store Day at Record Theater on Main Street in Buffalo. Rzeznik, Ramsey and Kubinski will be available to sign autographs.
The Goo Goo Dolls will also headline a concert to benefit the IAR. The sold-out concert and the “Not So Different” project are the vision of famed music producer Armand Petri, whose credits include work with the Goo Goo Dolls, 10,000 Maniacs and Sixpence None the Richer. Petri’s son, AJ, is autistic and has benefited from the IAR’s programs. Petri thought Kubinski’s song would provide a useful vehicle to shine a light on the need for additional autism research. The concert, downloads and CD sales of “Not So Different” will benefit the Institute for Autism Research.
