ISD-2016-TimekeepersThe ninth annual Ignatian Scholarship Day has a need for faculty, staff and administrator volunteers to act as “timekeepers” or “presiders” at this year’s event on Friday, April 15. Timekeepers introduce the session and the student scholars.  Students have 10-15 minutes to present with approximately three minutes allotted for fielding questions before audience and presenters rotate out of the venue.

There are concurrent sessions running from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (10:00 – 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.), and each session is 20 minutes in length.  Volunteers have successfully made this happen like clockwork at past events. If you are a faculty mentor for a student presenter and can be a timekeeper for that paper, please let me know by providing the name of the student.

Volunteers can send availability, preferably in 20-minute intervals, to eventmgt@canisius.edu or by calling the Office of Event Services at Ext. 2180.
