Desire2Learn: Workshops and Video Tutorials

d2l_logo-3Whether you already use Desire2Learn (D2L) to teach or are considering using it to teach, Canisius has plenty of resources available to support you.  Two D2L workshops are available for faculty.  The first covers the basics, preparing you to save time and effort using D2L in your courses.  The second workshop focuses on the grades tool, for recording, calculating and reporting students’ grades.

Softball Home Opener is Slated for Wednesday

Softball-SilferThe Canisius softball team will try again to play their home opener, as last week’s scheduled game against University at Buffalo has been moved to Wednesday, March 30 at 4:00 p.m. The two squads will play consecutive days with the Griffs traveling to Amherst today Tuesday, March 29 for a 4:00 p.m. contest. Canisius has played its first 27 games away from home.

Save the Date: Strategic Planning Campus Forum is April 6

President Hurley is pleased to invite all members of the Canisius community to participate in a campus forum on Wednesday, April 6 from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center to provide input on the draft of the institution-wide strategic plan. The Strategic Planning Committee has been working diligently over the past several months to develop a draft, drawing input from a variety of sources, and is eager to receive feedback from students, faculty and staff. A copy of the draft will be circulated prior to the event so that you will have time to review the document carefully. Please do your best to attend and encourage your students and staff to participate. Your input is sincerely valued and important to the Strategic Planning Committee in this process.
