Canisius College and the Niagara Frontier Council for Social Studies hosted the 2016 Western New York Regional History Day Competition on Saturday, March 19 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Canisius College adolescence education history students, along with associate professor Lorrei DiCamillo, PhD, participated as judges and moderators for high school students as they competed in debates and showed off display projects. Top-finishers of each event move on to the national competition.
The Canisius College School of Education and Nancy Wallace, PhD, director of school and community partnerships, have graciously hosted this group for several years. We look forward to hosting again next year on March 11, 2017.
