Environmental Justice: A Native American Perspective

honorearchcampaignsOn Monday, March 21, Peace Action-Canisius and the WNY Peace Center will host speakers Agnes Williams of the Indigenous Women’s Initiatives and Charley Bowman of the Environmental Justice taskforce. The event will be held in the Science Hall Commons from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

The event will have reports on sustainable energy versus our present energy practices as well as a local video from the 2012 Indigenous Women Emerging Activists Conference feature Winona LaDuke.

1095-C Forms Have Been Mailed

The college mailed 1095-C forms to employees this week. This form was not required to file your taxes but should be retained with your tax return for your records.

A 1095-C form was issued to employees who were full time in any month of 2015. Those who were not a full time employee during 2015 will not receive a 1095-C.

Desire2Learn Workshops and Tutorials

d2l_logo-1Whether you use Desire2Learn (D2L) now to teach or are considering using it for the first time to teach an upcoming course, Canisius has plenty of resources available to support you.  Faculty members can attend workshops that cover the basics for getting started in D2L, or focus on the grades tool for recording, calculating and reporting students’ grades.
