ArtsCanisius Presents “Conversations”

THE_JOURNEY_1

ArtsCanisius presents the studio art show “Conversations” by Joyce Hill in the college’s Peter A. and Mary Lou Vogt Gallery in the Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library.

An artists reception will be held on Friday, March 11 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the library. The exhibit continues through Friday, April 22 during regular library hours. For library hours, visit canisius.edu/library or call Ext. 2900.

The way humans communicate and gather information about our world is changing. Computers, cell phones, and television sets are now where we go to see what is current and what is happening in our world. Books with paper pages are tossed aside in favor of these electronic devices. If you go to any used book store today you will see these abandoned books sitting lonely on the shelves, long forgotten.

Educated at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, earning her BFA, Joyce Hill has been exhibiting her work since 1982. Her mixed media paintings have appeared in international and national exhibitions in the United States and Canada. In 2014, her mixed media painting “Anchored To You” was chosen by Righteous Babe records and the singer Ani DiFranco to be the cover of her cd “Ridgefield Connecticut – November 18th, 2009.”

The complete installation guide for ADPassMon can be found here.

If you have not been able to enroll your Mac in Self Service, please contact the ITS Help Desk at helpdesk@canisius.edu or at Ext. 8340 to schedule an appointment.
