I. Joan Lorch Nominations
The Dr. I. Joan Lorch Award for Women and Gender Studies honors a person who has made a significant contribution to women, and who exemplifies the pursuit of liberation and justice regarding sex, gender and sexuality.
The Women and Gender Studies Program is currently taking nominations for the I. Joan Lorch Award. There are three categories: (a) Canisius student (b) Canisius employee (faculty, staff, or administrator) and (c) non-Canisius nominee. Nominations can be sent to Johanna Fisher at fisherj@canisius.edu or Tanya Loughead at lougheat@canisius.edu. Please include a one-paragraph defense of why your nominee deserves this award. Deadline for nominations is Wednesday, February 24.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 10 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in Grupp Fireside Lounge. Doors will open at 4:15 p.m. for drinks and appetizers. The event is free and open to the public.
